Activities 2004

  • December 2004. Served on the regional adjudication panel of the SCI/ASCAP student commission contest.
  • December 3rd, 2004 - Crack (for alto saxophone, flute, and electroacoustic accompaniment) performed by the Zephyr Duo (Sophie (fl.) and Jean-Michel (sax) Goury) at the Selmer House in Paris, FRANCE.
  • December 3rd, 2004 - 8pm, Performance of Unfoldings for solo guitar. Dan Lippel, guitar; Concert Curated by Adam Mirza in New York City.
  • November 7th, 2004 - 6pm, World Premiere of Unfoldings for solo guitar. Dan Lippel, guitar; Good Shepard Church, Brooklyn, NY.
  • October 2nd, 2004 - 10am, World Premiere of Music through Prisms (8 channel remix version) on the Third Practice Festival in Richmond, VA.
  • April 1st, 2004 - 8pm - Crack (for alto saxophone, flute, and electroacoustic accompaniment) performed by Cathie Apple (flute) and Christopher Blossom (sax) on the Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival in Gainesville, FL.
  • March 25th, 2004 - 8pm - Bowling Green State University New Music Ensemble, Bowling Green State University, Kobacker Hall, Bowling Green, OH. This concert featured works composed by BGSU students that were written for a group of instruments by metal sculptor Brian Glaze. The concert included dance, video, and music technology.
  • March 17th, 2004 - 8pm - Music through Prisms (for 2 channel tape) performed at the Sonic Electronicfestival in Louisiana.
  • March 14th, 2004 - 2pm - Crack (for alto saxophone, flute, and electroacoustic accompaniment) performed by Cathie Apple (flute) and Christopher Blossom (sax) at the University of Michigan.
  • February 11th, 2004 - 8pm - Faculty Composers' Concert, Bowling Green State University, Bryan Recital Hall, Bowling Green, OH. World Premiere of Sonnets to Orpheus on texts of Rilke. Deborah Norin-Kuehn, soprano; Mikel Kuehn, piano.

  • November 6th, 2003 - 8pm - Bowling Green State University New Music Ensemble, Bowling Green State University, Bryan Recital Hall, Bowling Green, OH. This concert featured works by John Cage including 3rd Construction, which Kuehn conducted.
  • October 30th, 2003 - 8pm - Bowling Green State University New Music Ensemble, Bowling Green State University, Kobacker Hall, Bowling Green, OH. This concert featured works by Luciano Berio including O King, which Kuehn conducted.
  • October 17th, 2003 - 2:30pm - Spaces (for for six percussionists in four groups arranged in any four physical spaces) (world premiere) performed by the BGSU percussion ensemble on the 24th Bowling Green New Music & Art Festival.
  • October 11th, 2003 - 8pm - Crack (for alto saxophone, flute, and electroacoustic accompaniment) performed by Kari Kraenzler (flute) and John Amnon (sax) at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
  • September 19th, 2003 - 1:00pm - Lecture on nGen and Crack at NYU (composer Elizabeth Hoffman's composition students)
  • September 2003 - biographical citation included in Who's Who in America, 2005, 59th Edition.
  • May 1st, 2003 - 4pm - "Linea's Contour and Associations in Luciano Berio's Linea for Vibraphone, Marimba, and Two Pianos." Paper commissioned by and presented at Eastman's 2002 Luciano Berio Festival, Rochester, NY
  • April 13th, 2003 - 2pm - Rilke Songs (for soprano voice and piano) performed by Deborah Norin-Kuehn at the Heidelberg New Music Festival, Heidelberg College, Tiffin, OH (world premiere of movement 2).
  • April 8th, 2003 - 8pm - Bowling Green State University New Music Ensemble, Bowling Green State University, Kobacker Hall, Bowling Green, OH. This concert featured two works by Ronald Keith Parks,Afterimage 4 (for piano and computer) and Afterimage 5 (for electric guitar quartet and computer). Also programmed were Jonty Harrison's EQ for alto saxophone and tape and Robert Lemay's Tambour battant for solo alto saxophone.
