  • October 18, 2013, 8:00pm - Undercurrents (2013). World premiere of my 14 minute work for 14 instruments commissioned by Ensemble Dal Niente. The instrumentation is flute (alto flute), oboe (English horn), clarinet (bass clarinet), alto saxophone (soprano), vibraphone, marimba, piano, harp, guitar, 2 violins, viola, cello, and bass.  Ensemble Dal Niente (Michael Lewanski, conductor), Bowling Green New Music Festival, Kobacker Hall, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio.  You can watch a video of the performance here.

  • March 18, 2013, 7:30pm - Colored Shadows (2012, for viola and electroacoustics) performed on EarPlay's 28th Season by violist Ellen Ruth Rose. The ODC Dance Commons, San Francisco, California.  Pre-concert talk at 6:45 p.m.
  • March 7-15, 2013 - Guest composer at Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität, Vienna, Austria. In March, six of my works will be performed during a special saxophone week featuring faculty and students at the Konservatorium; these include:
    • Intersections (2013) for alto saxophone and piano (world premiere)
    • Etchings (2009) for saxophone quartet (SSTT).
    • Objet/Ombre (2008) for 12 saxophones and electroacoustics.
    • Resonances (2007) for soprano saxophone and piano.
    • Crack (2001) for flute, alto saxophone, and electroacoustics. 
    • Intersections & Resonances (2000) for violin, alto saxophone, and piano (European premiere).

    • March 11, 3-4pm: Roundtable discussion on the topic of "Live Electronics" with guest panelists Mikel KUEHN (Bowling Green State University USA), Germán TORO-PEREZ (ZhdK Zürich), Karlheinz ESSL (MDW Wien), and Christophe HAVEL (Conservatoire de Bordeaux). Erkersaal: Anton-Dermota Saal, 2.   • February 6, 2013, 8:00pm - Two of my works will be performed on the BGSU Faculty Composers Forum. This free concert includes the world premiere of a 22 minute work, Cyclic Variations (2011) for solo piano performed by Stephanie Titus, and Tag (2006), for two flutes, performed by Gabriella Roderer and Rachel Woolf. Bryan Recital Hall, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio.

  • Kuehn is awarded a residency at the Yaddo artist colony in Saratoga Springs, New York for the month of July.
